My research into the Job Corps program stirred a revolutionary spirit, and helped form my belief that there needs to be more attention and respect paid to vocational training programs

Teacher Compensation Task Force I am currently in my third year of serving on the Teacher Compensation Task Force. This group was created as a way to thoughtfully develop new practices and policies regarding the pay structure within the city of Kingsport. This experience was a series of “light switch” and “light bulb” moments

DB EXCEL – Staffing During my time of employment at DB EXCEL, I was able to play a substantive role in the staffing procedures. Working with the Principal, we examined needs and crafted requests for additional positions. We worked to demonstrate the schools’ need for additional faculty and staff. We also developed new positions that could better help our school better provide for the real life needs of the students
